Cost-per-print calculator
The sticker price is only part of what a printer costs. Enter what you pay for ink or toner, how many pages (or shirts) it prints, and what each sheet or blank costs. The calculator shows your cost per print and per 1,000.

How the numbers work
Cost per print = consumable price ÷ yield + paper or blank cost + any other per-print cost. For example, a $34.99 cartridge rated for 300 pages costs about 11.7¢ a page in ink; add 1.2¢ for paper and you pay about 12.9¢ a page, or $128.63 per 1,000 pages.
- Yield: use the manufacturer's rated (ISO/IEC) page yield for a fair comparison; real yield drops with photos and heavy coverage.
- Colour printers: add the price of every cartridge or bottle in a full set.
- Shirts: switch the unit to shirts and include film, powder or pretreatment under other costs.
